Sounds like I need to find a few bottles. Nice weaving the Olympic stories with the openings of the 2008 games and the ale. Sounds like I need to find a few bottles.

I was in Atlanta for a few days during the 96 Olympics, although the trip wasn't Olympic-centric, so we didn't see any events. But we hung out around downtown, and the vibe there was awesome. Glad to hear what you think of the new beer. I just bought a bottle at Grapes of Mirth, and I still have a 07.07.07 in the cellar. Part of me really wants to wait until 2012 (maybe during the London Olympics?) to drink them, but for some reason part of me doubts that they'll last that long (meaning they'll go bad). But I guess I could always buy 2 bottles each year, drink one, and save the other. Anyway... thanks for sharing! Thanks for sharing the Olympic memories and your reactions to to 08.08.08.
