You said it was available in the States! I have been to St Johns and love BBA. Since I have been back I have looked all over town (Nashville, TN) and can’t find the precious ale. Do you have any idea where Blackbeard Ale can be purchased in the States?

Unfortunately, I did not smuggle any back! It should be available in The States though. I am jealous of your all your travels! I would love to visit Aruba and Venezuela … and Turks and Cayman. I would love to take a boat all around the Caribbean. But I have neither a boat nor the funds to charter/rent/buy one … and so I will just dream.

I have been all over the Caribbean, and I have never found a beer that I like. Balashi in Aruba sucks, Polar in Bonair (from Venezuela) sucks, Turks Head from Turks and Caicos sucks, Piton from St. Lucia sucks, Caybrew from the Caymans sucks, Red stripe is just meh!, etc. etc…

I feel the need to visit St. Croix to try a real Caribbean Ale. Did you bring any back? Send it up to NJ to me!!

I love beer and I love Pirates (and wenches) so this was an enjoyable read.

Nice to know there’s something decent to drink down there. I’m always on the lookout for some Guinness Foreign Extra Stout in the Caribbean, which for some reason is much stronger than regular G. But it’s not easy to find. Aaarrr! See you on Twitter.
