Good point Marc, but never once did I ever say that Dogfish Head was the first and only brewery to use noble rot, let alone unfermented wine, in the production of this beer. There are plently of breweries out there, heck right in my own backyard in Napa, experimenting with grape as a fermentable sugar in beer. Dogfish Head just happens to stand out for their ambition to use it as 49% of the recipe.

Noble Rot beers have been done before; namely by Cantillon.
